Key responsibilities –
- Preparation of communication material (drafting and writing articles, brochures, leaflets, press releases, and other text-based communication, and recording podcasts).
- Updating EU project websites (editing, adding and creating content through a content management system).
- Media activities - media relations work (promotion with media representatives and liaising with partner media departments), and managing media monitoring reports.
- Social media activities (researching and frequently posting news and information).
- Performing desk research on stakeholders and stakeholder contacts.
- Financial management and reporting.
- Progress reporting.
- Organisation and attendance of meetings and conferences.
- Database and file management.
- A B.A. or B.Sc. degree in an appropriate science or science communication subject (preferably a M.Sc. in science communication) followed by communication, PR or journalism work experience.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of using social media.
- Experience of writing news articles and press releases quickly and to deadline.
- Able to translate scientific information into accurate and easy to understand communication material.
- Good networking and people skills.
- Creative and highly motivated self-starter.
- Enthusiastic to work in a growing and dynamic team of more than 15 people.
- Communications experience with EU projects is an advantage.
- Excellent English, both speaking and writing skills. Additional European languages are an advantage.
- 1100€/month, 1-2 return flights between UK-Europe/Brussels.

Key responsibilities –
- Support nutrition and health activities.
- Assist in preparing publications (Food Today articles, scientific papers, press releases, podcasts, etc.), organising meetings, with conference stands.
- Regular website/extranet content updates.
- Desk research on scientific events, stakeholders, consumer research studies, specific topics.
- Database management and filing.
- Nutrition Science background.
- Fluent in English, other European languages an advantage.
- Excellent communicator with ability to translate scientific information into easy to understand language for consumers. Must be able to write well in English.
- Interested in, and a passion for, communications, nutrition and health.
- Able to search for information, using the Internet.
- Able to summarise information succinctly.
- Proactive and well organised (capable of handling specific tasks alone).
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Experience with content management systems and web-based applications would be a plus.
- 1100€/month, 1-2 return tickets UK-Europe/Brussels.

Key responsibilities –
- Support media monitoring.
- Perform website statistical analysis (ex. using Google Analytics), implement Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), advise website design & development.
- Manage and advise on social media (Facebook, Twitter) strategy.
- Update website content and contact databases.
- Perform stakeholder research.
- Assist in drafting reports and publications.
- Has a degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or website design and management, and an interest in statistical analysis, food science or physical activity.
- Must write in succinct English and be familiar with social media and web marketing.
- Is well organised, accurate and able to work independently.
- 500-1000 € / month (depending on experience), 1-2 return trips Europe/Brussels.
