26 May - 1 June 2014 Coming Up... 26 May, 2014 | Brussels COMPET (Internal Market/ Industry/ Space/ Research & Innovation) eCall devices in new models of vehicles to speed up emergency services, protection of trade secrets, the framework of trade marks and the EU package travel directive to modernise the travel market will top the internal market and industry agenda. The afternoon session will be devoted to research, innovation and space policies. The future of pan-European research infrastructures, the relationship between the EU and the European Space Agency (ESA), as well as the EU’s cooperation with its Med partner countries will be the main issues of deliberations among participants. Read more   26-28 May, 2014 | Thessaloniki Mediterranean Natura 2000 Seminar The seminar will launch the Natura 2000 Biogeographical Process in the Mediterranean region. Initiated by the European Commission at the end of 2011, the process aims to improve and strengthen the implementation of Natura 2000 and ensure progress towards key EU 2020 Biodiversity Strategy targets.
