Dear young media makers,
This year brings great opportunities for young media makers and we at European Youth Press are doing our best to support you in both finding and creating them. Last month, EYP participated in an information session organised by the European Youth Foundation of the European Council (CoE) in Brussels, where we learned about the grants, reporting and how to compose better applications.
When you are interested in making your own project, there are three things to keep in mind:
Firstly, explain the project as precisely as you can, focusing on details.
Secondly, use a simple language that is easy to understand.
Thirdly, search for other sources of funding besides CoE and European Commission as well.
EYP is also collaborating with the European Youth Event (EYE) which takes place on 1 and 2 June in the European Parliament's seat in Strasbourg. We support them with the selection of the editorial team, external communication – to make sure that young Europeans learn about the event, as well as about the EYE report which will be one of the outcomes of EYE.
