The CCBE appoints new presidency for 2018

| The Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) appoints a new Presidency starting from January 2018. |
|
|
|
|
|
|

During its Plenary Session on 24 November 2017, the CCBE nominated Antonín Mokrý (Czech Republic) to become its new President starting from 1 January 2018. His presidency will be supported by José de Freitas (Portugal) as 1st Vice-President, Ranko Pelicarić (Croatia) as 2nd Vice-President, and Margarete Gräfin von Galen(Germany) as 3rd Vice-President.
Antonín Mokrý is a member of the national bar of the Czech Republic and has been a member of the CCBE since 2002. He takes over from Ruthven Gemmell WS.

About the CCBE:
The CCBE represents the bars and law societies of 45 countries, and through them more than 1 million European lawyers. Founded in 1960, the CCBE is recognised as the voice of the European legal profession by the EU institutions, and acts as the liaison between the EU and Europe's national bars and law societies. The CCBE has regular institutional contacts with those European Commission officials, and members and staff of the European Parliament, who deal with issues affecting the legal profession. The CCBE is an international non-profit-making association incorporated in Belgium

| Le Conseil des barreaux européens (CCBE) désigne une nouvelle présidence à sa tête à partir de janvier 2018. |

Lors de sa session plénière du 24 novembre 2017, le CCBE a désigné Antonín Mokrý (République tchèque) président à compter du 1er janvier 2018. Sa présidence sera soutenue par José de Freitas (Portugal), premier vice-président, Ranko Pelicarić(Croatie), deuxième vice-président, et Margarete Gräfin von Galen (Allemagne), troisième vice-présidente.
Antonín Mokrý est membre du barreau national tchèque et membre du CCBE depuis 2002. Il succède à Ruthven Gemmell WS.

À propos du CCBE
Le Conseil des barreaux européens (CCBE) représente les barreaux de 45 pays, soit plus d'un million d'avocats européens. Fondé en 1960, le CCBE est reconnu comme le porte-parole de la profession d'avocat en Europe par les institutions européennes. Il assure la liaison entre l'Union européenne et les barreaux nationaux. Le CCBE est en contact régulier avec les représentants de la Commission, les eurodéputés et leurs collaborateurs responsables des questions concernant la profession d'avocat.
