Dear young media makers,
This weekend saw our latest board meeting take place in Copenhagen. We
spent much of our time catching up on projects and discussing ideas for
EYP looking ahead which we will provide more information on in the near
future.
This month also saw some of our board members taking part in events
across Europe, most notably presenting our collaboration with the
YouthMetre project to the European Youth Forum and discussing youth
voting with JEF.
We’re also excited to partner with the International Youth Service of
the Federal Republic of Germany (IJAB), in the framework of the project
called "EUth - Tools and Tips for Mobile and Digital Youth Participation
in and across Europe", which seeks to enhance youth participation, get
more young people involved in political decision-making and increase
their trust in European institutions. In this context, an editorial team
formed by EYP members will identify and cover successful stories of
youth participation across Europe, until the end of the year.
Friday 5 May also marked our 13th birthday, so we would like to extend
our thanks for your continued support which we rely upon to manage
projects and promote opportunities to young media makers.
Looking ahead, we have posted an advert for a new fundraiser/office
manager to work at our secretariat in Berlin. We hope to have a new
person in place by early June and would encourage anyone with experience
in fundraising and an interest in the non-profit sector to apply. Full
details are available here.
This newsletter as always hosts a number of exciting opportunities,
please do take the time to read through and apply to any calls which
grab your interest!
We’ll be in touch with more opportunities throughout the coming weeks,
but if there are more ideas or projects simply get in touch!
Greg Bianchi,
Board member
