Council discussed new approaches in youth work to improve young people's potential. It also adopted a resolution on a New Skills Agenda, which highlights the main aspects that will guide Council work in this field, in response to the Commission's communication on the strategic importance of skills for sustaining jobs, growth and competitiveness.The Council adopted conclusions on the prevention of radicalisation leading to violent extremism, which are very timely in the context of the 1st anniversary of the Paris terrorist attacks. They focus on preventive measures such as education, voluntary and cultural activities and youth work.
