EYP’s corner
The topic of environmental journalism is strongly rooted in EYP and as a result of our partnership building meeting Press Goes Green in the end of June we now have a brand new working group, Green Echo, in the making - contact Haris at h.dedovic@youthpress.org for more information. Additionally, we are proud to present Flag It!, an excellent opportunity to qualify yourself with digital tools for infographics, mapping and working within environmental reporting. Join the Flag It! site to get some impressions from our recent training courses in Brazil and Nigeria. We are also launching a call this week for participants for our upcoming seminar in Romania, so stay tuned! Check out https://www.facebook.com/pages/Flag-it/152661501579435
EU welcomed Croatia as the 28th member on July 1st and we celebrated this at the Youth Conference in Zagreb held during 24th-26th of June. Two days of intense panel discussions and great speakers brought together 200 participants from all over Europe. You can read more about the event on Orange Magazine.
Last but not least, we are excited to invite you to the European Youth Media Days in Brussels, one of the biggest European events for young journalists. The application opens on July 8th, see youthpress.org for the call.
